ABOUT ME
white clay
My current pieces are of pure forms, realized in white faience, turned on a potter wheel. They wear a graphic decor with black or cobalt engobe. I am looking for a simple drawing, fine lines, harmony. This graphic is realized by a fast and free movement of a needle on the surface of the clay or by the encrustation of plants.

raku nu
Raku is a cooking method developed in the 16th century in Japan.
Raku-nu is a raku without enamel. The pieces are shaped, polished and biscuit.
They are coated with an intermediate layer which will promote the detachment of the enamel; Then of a layer of enamel, as in the classical raku, which, according to its composition, will give cracks or spots more or less great.
After cooking, when the enamel matures, the pieces are smoked to blacken the cracks and stains and then cooled in water to burst the enamel layer.

BLACK FIRE
Black smoked pottery is a very ancient cooking method (since the Neolithic).
The color of pottery in black cooking varies from deep black to metallic gray with gray spots.
The pieces are cooked in the wood oven at about 900 °. At the culmination of cooking, the fireplace door and oven chimney are hermetically sealed. Excess carbon penetrates into the pores of potted soil. Smoke makes the pottery definitely black.
